CR OFFICE IS A BIOCLIMATIC PROJECT CARRIED OUT FOR A TRANSPORTATION & LOGISTIC'S COMPANY. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE SITE, WE FOUND AN OLD HOUSE ABANDONED IN RUINS, WHICH AWAKENED INTEREST...

To rescue and preserve as much as possible. Make the original materials evident with their wear due to the use they had and the passage of time, encompassing a new construction, furniture design, landscape, lighting and art.

SOLAR PANELS, RAINWATER CAPTURE AND LED LIGHTING IN ITS ENTIRETY ARE SOME OF THE ELEMENTS CONSIDERED IN THIS PROJECT.

Perfectly analyzing the way in which natural lighting is used to the maximum in the spaces, thermal comfort is achieved due to cross-air currents, with pivoting floor-to-ceiling windows located towards the perimeter walkways, and through a central water mirror that makes the environment fresher and more pleasant.

LIGHTING IS A KEY ELEMENT, IT IS SEEN INDIRECTLY IN ITS BEAMS, BATHING THE OLD EXPOSED PARTITION WALLS, OR PERIMETERLY IN THE CEILINGS, MAKING AN ELEGANT AND COZY ENVIRONMENT.

We see it represented in artistic and creative elements carried out by the office, being part of an assembly of rods exposed in a beam, or creating a sculpture of light intertwining in a slab assembly giving the impression of floating on the central water mirror, or being an element of art encapsulated in acrylic that stands out in the main private, or creating a frame of light that goes from floor to ceiling through the sink in the main bathroom.

A NEW AND MODERN CAST CONCRETE AREA WAS ANNEXED TO THE ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION, LINKED BY 2 GLASS BRIDGES, WHICH HOUSES THE OWNER'S MAIN PRIVATE ROOM, THE MEETING ROOM AND THE ACCOUNTING OFFICE.

The use and fusion of materials such as exposed concrete, exposed partitions, handmade pasta floors, aged wood and steel used in the two areas, creates that connection and architectural integration.

WORKS OF ART CARRIED OUT SPECIFICALLY FOR THE CR OFFICE, AND ARTISTIC INTERVENTIONS ON FURNITURE, CEILINGS AND WALLS ARE DISCOVERED IN EACH SPACE.

Natural elements such as incredible tree roots, carved marble blocks and huge river stones were chosen to be part of the furniture and as natural sculptures.

The great feeling of connection that is achieved between the interior and the exterior, between the user and nature through the sound of water, natural elements that are born inside and floor-to-ceiling windows a roof, is part of the pleasant experience of visiting and making use of CR OFFICE.
